At its base the Residenza Sant’Anna extends in a vast estate just 400 meters from the small tourist center of Bagnaia with its pebble beach.
In this wonderful corner of the Island of Elba, inside of the Residence Sant’Anna, are located the Hotel Locanda del Volterraio, a small 4 star hotel with 18 rooms, harmoniously integrated in the surrounding nature offering pleasant holidays in a rare peaceful environement.
Volterraio is the name of the medieval castle that dominates, from its stronghold, the entire Gulf of Portoferraio and the northern Tyrrhenian Sea.

In the center of the park, from where you have a splendid view on the Volterraio Castle, you find 2 tennis courts, swimming pool, pool for children, the napoleon villa of Sant’Anna used as Club House with bar, TV-room, sauna, showers and cabins. In a little garden our restaurant “Il Giardino degli Aranci” with orange, lemon and pomegranates plants.
All rooms have independant entrance, telephone, mini-bar, TV, air-conditioning and heating, bathroom and balcony or terrace.
Inside there is a small congress center and a covered parking.
The hotel has made arrangements for you with the Il Giardino degli Aranci restaurant which you will find truly delightful and which is located within the villa. Also, the Il Faro restaurant, located on the Bagnaia beach, has been chosen by us to offer you fresh fish dishes, local meat delicacies, and fresh fruits from the area. You can lunch and dine with an exclusive discount; or, you can ask for half board and full board’s additional advantages.

The guests of the Hotel Locanda del Volterraio can use the services of the beach bath “Lo Scoglietto”.
