Pomonte lies directly on the sea in the largest valley of the Island of Elba, dominated by the mountain of the Monte Capanne
The area is very quiet and typical and the small pebble beaches and flat cliffs slope down into the cristal clear waters of the thyrennian sea.
On can admire wonderful sunsets and during clear nights see the lights on the island of Corsica. The place is ideal for divers, at only a few meters from the shore and at 16 meters depths lies the wrack of the Elviscott, a freight ship sunken in front of Pomonte in the 70ths.
